Customer Spotlight: Mid-America Merchandising Upgrade to Teams Voice
Avid recently worked with Mid America Merchandising to convert their premise based phone system (PBX) to Microsoft Teams Voice. The decision to move from their PBX to a cloud phone system was largely driven by the events of the past year. Their employees primarily worked from home and will continue to work in a remote setting.
Frank Kaul, Director, Information System & Services, researched different cloud solutions and decided Teams Voice would be the best solution based on their employees’ familiarity with Microsoft Teams. Their familiarity with Teams significantly increased over the past 18 months while working from home. Frank, who is an expert with the entire Microsoft business suite, wanted to work with Avid because of our history in providing cloud voice services and expertise with Microsoft Teams Voice.
Automated Provisioning
Avid has built an automated provisioning system that automatically configures all the users, assigns telephone numbers, sets up automated attendants, call queues, schedules, groups, calling policies and the direct routing required to set up Microsoft Teams Voice in our customer’s Microsoft account. The automated process takes a few minutes and our customer has a fully functional Teams Voice configuration based on their specific needs. This solution uses Avid’s fast and secure network to route calls.
We were thankful to be chosen to work with Frank and his team at Mid-America Merchandising. Frank’s extensive expertise with Mid-America Merchandising’s PBX and IT infrastructure was incredibly helpful before, during and after the project. Avid looks forward to continuing to work with Mid-America Merchandising by providing support for changes required and any troubleshooting that may be needed.
