Conference Bridge proving popular

For several new clients, Avid’s conference bridge was a big selling point. It allowed them to cut their expenses on conference calls by up to 70%.

The conference bridge service provides our clients with a dedicated bridge, which is always available for their use without the need for reservations or operator intervention. A passcode set is all that’s needed, and the bridge can be accessed from anywhere.

A moderator controls the conference through a web interface that allows callers to be muted (to eliminate cell phone noise, for instance), the conference to be locked (for security) and the call to be recorded.

The service is available for just $20 per month for a five-port bridge, and bridges are available up to 50-ports. A local dial-in number can be used (with no usage charges) and/or a toll-free number can be used, and usage charges are at Avid’s low regular long-distance rates.
