Employee Spotlight : Taylor Cates, Director of Sales
Taylor joined Avid early in 2016 as Director of Sales. Taylor was no stranger to Avid prior to her joining our team and we are all very thankful she is on “our side” now. Taylor, in the past year, has grown the direct sales team by nearly 100%, improved the productivity of the account executives, grown the number of relationships with agents and has continued to enhance our relationships with many customers throughout the Kansas City area.
Not only has Taylor improved our acquisition efforts, she has enhanced our capability of reaching our existing customers and making sure they are getting the best services to meet their voice and data needs.
One area in particular is bandwidth. We are continually reaching out to our customers to let them know when Google Fiber is available, and we work with them to transition and take advantage of Google Fiber. If Google Fiber is not available, we work with customers on other fiber options or fixed wireless solutions to bring the most affordable solution to our customers.
Taylor hired Shelby Fuchs to reach out to our existing customers to understand their current needs and create customized solutions after consulting with them.
When Taylor is not in the office, she enjoys road trips with her “dog”-ter Lola, traveling, hiking, gardening, cooking as an amateur chef, running road races, playing on various sports teams (indoor soccer, sand volleyball, flag football), attending Chiefs and Royals games, and watching Sooner football! Taylor was a heptathlete in college that now keeps her competitive edge by playing seasonal coed sports.
Taylor’s goal is to make sure we have the opportunity to speak with businesses throughout our markets and work with them to get the fastest, highest quality, most reliable voice and data solutions available.
“To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift.”
This is Taylor’s favorite quote from Steve Fontaine, and she exemplifies that here at Avid.
Way to go Taylor !!! Consolidated’s loss is Avid’s gain….when will they ever learn???
