What we’ve been brewing with The Roasterie.
We’ve been working with The Roasterie since 2013. If you weren’t aware, The Roasterie is a well-known coffee company based in Kansas City. We first started supporting them with the WiFi in the tasting room at their headquarters building. They continue to grow like crazy! Along with the growth, their systems needs have grown as well.
Brian Kemp with Blue Rocket IT provides network support for The Roasterie. We have a great working relationship with Brian, and have quite a few clients in common. Brian trusts us and brought us to the table to expand our role at The Roasterie.
An important goal was to replace their aging phone system. It was a legacy system that didn’t have the bells and whistles that current phone systems have, especially when you consider VOiP phone systems and the features they provide. An example of new functionality they love is the voicemail to email feature. When someone leaves a message, they get an email with a .wav sound file attachment. It’s more efficient from a user perspective because they can listen to the voicemail message without having to log into their phone system.
The Roasterie operates cafes and supplies coffee to restaurants and grocery stores all over the country. As you can imagine, they take a lot of calls. Shelby Fuchs, one of our account consultants, did extensive training with their administrative staff to make sure they understand how to get the most out of their VOiP phone system. We deployed Mitel 6869i phones for The Roasterie’s needs. We also deployed wireless VOiP phones for their shipping area so that their warehouse staff could move around while talking on the phone. (We increased the ringer volume so they could hear the phone ring over the sounds of forklifts!)
As part of their growth, they needed to expand their headquarters to a new building. They were thrilled with how easy it was to move their phone system. All they had to do was plug the phones in at their new workstations, and they were up and running.
We also manage all of the WiFi access points for the Cafes, guest networks and employee networks at multiple locations.
The Roasterie is a well known Kansas City brand. And we’re proud to support them!
