Customer Spotlight: Unity Worldwide Headquarters

This month, Avid welcomes Unity Worldwide Headquarters as a new client. We are excited by each new client who joins us, but for someone who grew up in South Kansas City and could look to the east from his yard and see the Unity Village Tower in Lee’s Summit, this one is special.

Manny Stone, IT Director of Unity was referred to us by Doug Clark, an IT provider and Avid customer. They were in need of better performance from their phone system.

Mike Croner of Avid was able to fashion a much better solution using their existing IP phones. While being supported by their previous provider, these phones lacked the key features of park orbits, intercom and paging. Using the very same equipment, Avid is delivering everything Unity needs.

While Manny was waiting over three weeks for another proposal, Mike was able to turn around our proposal in one day.

And after becoming accustomed to waiting an hour on hold from his old provider, Manny appreciated his call to our service department being answered on the second ring.

Avid’s services will be delivered through Unity’s Google Fiber connection. Future plans call for Avid to connect another nearby location using a high speed wireless bridge.

So as we near a thousand clients here in Kansas City, we welcome Unity Worldwide with open arms!
